The minimum deposit tenor under this scheme is 3 years and the maximum tenor is 5 years.
Lock-in Period: The deposits have a mandatory 1-year lock in period, and premature withdrawal will be allowed ONLY upon completion of 1-year from the date of booking the deposit.
Disposal Instructions:
Choose to repatriate the funds overseas, transfer them to an NRE/NRO Savings Account, or renew the FCNR for a new term.
